The Pasir Ris Secondary School (PRSS) Choir aims to build a family of choristers with character and beauty, who are self-directed to achieve a high standard of performance that celebrates cultural diversity. The choir prides itself by working together as a family where no member is left behind. The choir also reflects the school’s belief in the importance of developing confident and well-rounded individuals.
In 2010, PRSS Choir found new direction transforming from a SSA (Female Choir) to an SATB mixed choir under the baton of Terrence Toh. In 2011, he led the choir to its first Gold Award at the Singapore Youth Festival (SYF) as an SATB choir. In 2013, the choir has been awarded a Certificate of Distinction in the biennial SYF Arts Presentation, a feat repeated in 2015, 2017 and 2019, establishing itself as a performing arts group with immense potential and promise. The choir’s overseas choral experiences include International Krakow Choir Festival "Cracovia Cantans" in 2012 and Hongkong Overseas Exchange in 2015.
With the motto, “Many Voices, One Harmony”, PRSS Choir will continue to strive towards choral excellence and develop their musical talents that inspire and connect hearts wherever they are.
