In February, 2001 the National Ballet of China premiered its own version of The Nutcracker, experimenting a fusion of Chinese culture and western classical ballet music. With the music of Tchaikovsky, Chinese ballet artists present in this ballet a variety of Chinese folk-customs and charming cultural elements.
