Come 27 April, veteran artistes Chyi Yu and Pan Yue Yun will grace the stage of The Star Performing Arts Centre with their <Hui Sheng> concert live in Singapore. Kick-started in Taiwan at the Taipei Arena in June 2018, the <Hui Sheng> concert tour brought back memories for many from the golden era of the music industry.
The story of the concert theme date back to 1985 when renowned Taiwanese writer and lyricist, San Mao, released an album titled <Hui Sheng>. An experimental album at that time sparked off the collaboration between the trio with San Mao’s lyrics and voice narration accompanied with Chyi Yu and Pan Yue Yun’s soulful vocal representation. Titles from the album pieced up the life and love story of San Mao, giving fans a peek into a part of her life.
34 years later, the album concept is brought onto stage with the same moving story of San Mao and the equally outstanding and stirring live performances of Chyi Yu and Pan Yue Yun. Besides titles from the <Hui Sheng> album, the 2 divas will also perform acclaimed classics from their own track list which includes the famed song <Olive Tree>, <Ye Bai He Ye You Chun Tian> etc.
